Ranjan Bhattacharya has more than four decades of experience in the hospitality industry. He began his career with Oberoi Hotels in 1979 and worked there for 11 years. After that, he ventured into entrepreneurial activities, focusing on the development, management, and franchising of hotel properties with globally recognized brands.
He is an alumnus of Shriram College of Commerce and Oberoi School of Hotel Management. He started as a Management Trainee with Oberoi Hotels and within eight years, he became the Operations head in Srinagar.
Throughout his career, Ranjan has formed partnerships with various brands. He initiated his first hotel venture in Manali with Holiday Inn Worldwide and later partnered with Carlson Hospitality Group through joint ventures, Carlson Hospitality Marketing India P Ltd. and Country Development & Management Services P Ltd.
